8/52 "Shnuggles"

This about sums up our week. Lots of snuggles and movies in bed while getting over a yucky cold bug. I'll admit it was nice to be forced into some one on one time while the rest of the world goes on being busy. A brief, momentary pause. Thankful for this little girl who lights up our lives. Thankful for her resilience and health.

7/52 Sweet Valentines

Sometimes on Valentine's Day you just have to hang out with your best pal and make sugar cookies or "cakes" if you're Marlow. One little lady decorates meticulously, the other licks frosting and sprinkles. This was gal-entines ya'll.

I have to say these are the days I dream about. These are those days. Messy, exhausting, full of giggles.

Making a commitment to document life one week at a time, every week of 2015. These black and white family lifestyle photos were taken in my kitchen and dining room at home in Spokane with two adorable kiddos.

6/52 Aunt Ton!

This last week we were SO lucky that my sister was able to make a quick trip to Spokane to see us! She came from New York to Seattle to Spokane then back to Seattle and back to New York again. She made Marlow's day and ours. Having her live across the country is tough, but it sure makes these visits all the more special. After she left, Marlow woke up from her nap and said, "I miss Aunt Ton." Me too, Bub! Thank goodness for FaceTime!

Photos taken in about 30 seconds as we walked out the door at 7:30 in the morning on our way to the airport. :) Love our early morning backyard fog - yum.

5/52 Juice

Two weeks behind, but still making it happen! :) This is the week Marlow discovered making "juuiiicce". She loved putting the slices in the top of the juicer and watching juice come out. She takes a bite of each fruit or veggie before putting it down the shoot - so cute. When we were done she ran around saying, "Mom, I made this!!" So cute and such an easy way to get a boost of vitamins. :) 2/5

1/52 Marlow's first time sledding | Backyard

In an effort to be more mindful and attentive this year, I'm going to be posting one photo of my kiddo during each week of the year. I need to force myself to take more photos of my own family and document the big and the little moments, so I thought this would be a fun way to do it! Of course, I'm a few days late getting started, but I'm not holding it against myself. ;) What better way to start these 52 weeks than with a first - Marlow's first time sledding! And in our own backyard. She loved it, of course. Just look at that face!

I also love that we got some kiss pictures in to remind us of how incredibly affectionate she is at this age! She loves to give kisses and hugs, kiss one cheek and then "other cheek," ears, even hair - lol - I will not complain no matter how wet her nose is or what food is lingering on those little lips. ;)
